Anonymous said: Wait, so what is you opinion on what Arielle Scarella said... Sorry im kinda confused. I usually like Arielle's videos but I am not sure how to feel about the things she said?

aconnormanning:

More often than not, Arielle makes good content. In this case, however, her response to criticism is the exact opposite of what an ally should do. Everyone says dumb shit. Everyone. When that’s pointed out, the mature thing to do is say “I fucked up. I’m sorry. I’ll learn from this.” She pulled a “HOW is that offensive!?” which isn’t cool. Arielle for sure does a heck ton of good stuff for a lot of people, so in no way is me reblogging that a personal attack on her. It’s just an important teaching moment for anyone who wants to be an ally for marginalized groups that they are not a part of.

I like what ya said but I’d like to add that it’s okay to ask someone why something is offensive IF you actually want to understand. It’s just not okay when you’re just using the question to say “Your feelings are wrong and dumb.” Which is essentially what happened.

Witnesses say they asked Britney why she shaved her head and her response was, “I’m tired of plugging things into it. I’m tired of people touching me.”

i can never not reblog this

T-Pain: “That was the most beautiful thing in the world. Do you know why she was shaving her head? Because it was so important to other people. She is like, “Listen. Don’t touch my hair anymore. Stop touching my hair.” People were like, “We’ve got to make your hair before you go outside. You can’t leave.” She went … “Now I don’t have hair. What you going to do?”

The older I get the more her breakdown seems less ‘unbalanced’ and more ‘completely understandable’

I did this at a bus stop once. I missed my bus and the next one wasn’t supposed to come for another hour, so I had time to kill. A little girl walking with her mom said it looked like a throne for a flower princess.

Fight your Fear with Five Shark Facts:
1: Approximately 3.17 sharks are killed by humans every second while only less than 6 humans are killed by sharks every year.
2: Sharks are relatively high in the food chain and keep populations of prey in check.
3: Sharks have roamed the ocean for almost 400 million years, even before the dinosaurs.
4: Your chances of encountering a Shark is very rare. You are more likely to get struck with lightning than to encounter a Shark.
5: Sharks are a slow growing species that don’t breed often. They are vulnerable to extinction.
Sharks have a bad rep above the ocean. Their creepy grins, appetite for meat and sharp teeth make it hard to appreciate them. While it may seem like they are out to get us, sharks are a magnificent species that need to be protected.
